The domain is the address
A domain such as yourbusiness.ca should be registered in the business owner’s name and account. Website Upgrade Canada includes a custom domain with starter projects; Website Upgrade Canada adds no markup to domain renewal. Your registrar’s renewal price and any applicable taxes are disclosed before launch. Whenever technically possible, the domain is registered in the client’s own name and account.
Hosting stores and serves the site
Efficient static business websites can often run on Cloudflare’s included infrastructure with no standard hosting charge, subject to the provider’s current limits and acceptable-use terms. E-commerce, databases and high-compute applications may need paid services.
Ownership includes access
The client should receive control of the domain, deployed files and relevant accounts. A designer should not use access as leverage to force an ongoing subscription.
Email is its own decision
The starter package includes one address at your domain that forwards to an inbox you already use. A full mailbox that can send and receive directly from the domain is a separate service and can be quoted.
