Third-party costs are approved first.

Hosting policy

No Website Upgrade Canada hosting subscription is required. The recommended hosting arrangement and any future third-party cost will be disclosed in writing before launch. No paid hosting service will be added without approval.

Email forwarding policy

One address such as [email protected] can forward incoming messages to the client’s existing inbox. A full hosted mailbox or sending directly from that address may require a separate email service.

The client reviews the first complete version and the included revision round before launch.

04

50% before launch

After final payment, the website, domain and applicable account access are transferred to the client.

Standard project terms

01

The deposit reserves the work.

The 50% deposit is non-refundable once design or development work begins. Any written proposal can include different terms when the project requires them.

02

Timing pauses when materials or approval are delayed.

Delivery targets begin after the approved scope, deposit and required materials are received. If content, account access or approvals are delayed, the project timeline pauses until the missing item is provided.

03

No surprise additions.

Work outside the approved scope is not added automatically. Optional pages, forms, stores, booking systems, payment tools, premium services and custom integrations require approval and a clear additional price.

04

Ownership follows final payment.

After the final balance is paid, the completed website, eligible custom domain and applicable account access belong to the client. Website Upgrade Canada does not require a monthly design subscription.

Square and payment privacy

Square securely processes card information under its own payment and privacy terms. Website Upgrade Canada receives the payment status and business records needed to administer the project, but does not receive the client’s full card number. Interac e-Transfer records are retained only as necessary for payment confirmation, accounting and legal business records.

The individual written proposal controls if a custom project includes terms that differ from this standard process.
